The Incan empire was the largest empire ever that has lived and thrived in the Andes mountains. Until they were conquered in 1535 by the spanish conquistador Pizzaro. To obtain all the land they controlled they conquered and intimidated them in to giving their land up and any other thing that looks apealing. Their cities and fortresses were mostly built on highlands and on the steep slopes of the Andes Mountains. The architecture of the Inca cities still amazes and puzzles most scientists. They believe they did this in case of attack it would make it virtually impossible to conquer, which is obviously un true because the spanards conquered them with such ease.
